Commissioning Engineer
As part of its growth, Water Horizon is consolidating its service division and recruiting a commissioning engineer to support the deployment of its innovative industrial solutions for the energy transition.

Reporting to Head of Service Department, You work closely with internal technical teams, as well as with partners and suppliers involved in projects.
Your Goals
Your main objective will consist of the technological development of the new industrial units for the Water Horizon project in order to optimize the process by working on process automation at an industrial scale.
Job responsibilities
As a Commissioning Engineer at Water Horizon, you will participate in the development, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Water Horizon's industrial batteries at our clients' sites and within our testing center.
The main responsibilities assigned to our on-site engineers are:
Security
- Promote, respect, and enforce the current safety rules and Water Horizon's safety policy.
- Report any deviation from established rules.
Project Management:
- Provide technical leadership and/or project management for the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Water Horion batteries at customer sites. Promote the company’s growth by striving for customer satisfaction.
- Ensure feedback with the engineering department to convey the necessary technological evolution.
Technique:
- Study the project's inherent documents (specifications, plans, installation area) and become familiar with the equipment and processes implemented during project execution.
- Create and organize the startup schedule based on the data collected and monitor its execution (equipment verification, safety checks, compliance).
- Perform startup adjustments, diagnose malfunctions, and provide technical support to the client.
- Conduct and supervise unit performance tests. Evaluate deviations, propose and implement corrective actions accordingly.
- Develop reports and summaries of the different start-up phases and distribute them to the relevant stakeholders (progress reports, operating and start-up manuals, mission completion reports).
- Represent the company at progress meetings with operators.
- Track and oversee material receptions, respecting contractual deadlines and ensuring the acceptance of the transfer of responsibility.
- Train the operator on the use and maintenance of the system.
- Ensure that the site is cleaned up once the project becomes operational.
Operations:
- Oversee the commissioning of the units and ensure their performance in terms of the functions under your responsibility.
- Ensure the maintainability and maintenance of the systems.
- Ensure unit operation during the non-commissioning phases of new construction sites.
Movement:
Given the nature of your role in equipment commissioning, you will be required to travel to our clients’ sites.
Profile and skills
Required qualifications:
- A master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or process engineering.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and significant experience in an industrial setting may also be considered
Required skills:
Techniques
- Control systems, industrial automation (particularly in operational power plants), industrial system maintenance, testing and inspection equipment, validation techniques, and programming techniques.
- Extensive experience in commissioning facilities.

The Parties expressly agree that a job description is subject to change as the Company’s needs and priorities evolve. It will therefore be updated regularly and submitted to the Employee for approval during annual performance reviews, as well as at any other necessary time.
Remuneration
Salary based on qualifications and experience, ranging from €43,000 to €60,000. A sign-on bonus equal to 25% of the gross salary (excluding performance-based bonuses) is included in the total compensation package..
